Social Impact

Social Impact

Social impact is a vital part of LOWE’s business practice, and we aim to support the local community of each property we manage through direct involvement in neighbourhood initiatives and support for key workers, artists and young professionals.

We have partnered with a number of carefully selected organisations which address and support important social and environmental issues affecting our society today. These partnerships are all closely aligned with our social values, allowing us to use our skills, expertise and resources where we can have the greatest, and most sustainable impact.

Regenerate

Regenerate is a south-London-based youth charity, primarily supporting the communities of Putney, Roehampton, Wandsworth and the surrounding areas. It was established in 2000 by a group of friends who were witnessing the impact of poverty on their local community and shared a vision of creating hope and more opportunities for local young people. Regenerate was born out of a deep commitment to this mission, and has worked tirelessly since then, building meaningful relationships and creating life changing opportunities. 20 years later, led by co-founder Andy Smith, the charity continues to provide mentoring, youth and community work, and employment opportunities, to support and empower young people in not only transforming themselves, but also uplifting the people around them and contributing positively to the world at large.

Bounce Back

Bounce Back is a charity and social enterprise focused on the training and employment of people in and leaving prison. Working inside and out of several prisons, Bounce Back offers training that leads to industry recognised qualifications in a range of construction skills including painting and decorating, scaffolding and dry lining as well as multi-skills giving people an introduction to construction. With support, participants additionally gain skills and confidence required for employment to either become construction workers for the building industry, or professional decorators within Bounce Back’s own business, a Painting and Decorating Social Enterprise that employs many of the participants who have successfully passed through the training programme. As re-offending is most likely to occur on release, giving people the opportunity to see a career path, gain confidence, obtain a reference to move on or stay within their team in the social enterprise, this incredibly valuable charity provides support at a time when it is most crucially needed.
